Free & Confidential Support for Frontline Staff

The Southern Association for Psychotherapy and Counselling (SAFPAC are ) has a dedicated team of psychotherapists, psychotherapeutic counsellors and trainees offering free online and telephone confidential emotional support for all those working on the frontline; health, social and domestic care, distribution and transport staff to fight the current pandemic. We are aware of the demand being placed upon our frontline workers we are offering emotional support to all those involved during this psychologically and physically difficult time.


The service is free and there is no reporting back to employers, colleagues or anyone other than our clinical team. If you would like to know more about how we can help or to register for support contact us by email

SAFPAC frontline provides a safe environment, where we will respect your confidentiality. We know your job will be even more challenging than usual in these increasingly difficuly times, and a forum to express your feelings outside of your work could be essential. There is no contact with your employer, family members or GP. This is a space purely for you.

Professional counsellors

All of our individual clinical team members are either fully qualified members of SAFPAC and the United Kingdom for Psychotherapy (UKCP) or are completing their training. All groups are facilitated by Dr Christian Buckland. Every clinical member of SAFPAC adheres to their governing bodies ethical framework and all work alongside a professional supervisor

No cost to you

This service is run free of charge for our frontline colleagues. At SAFPAC Frontline we are extremley grateful for the hardwork and the demanding roles you are all conducting. To try and do our small part we are providing this service free of charge. It is our service, run by our members for our NHS, Private and voluntary frontline staff members.
